Buffalo Bills Offseason
Let me just get straight to the point this week as a sports journalist I am highly annoyed by the blatant disrespect shown by Pro Football Focus this week as they named their top 10 NFL coaches and Sean McDermott was listed as #16. The 16th best coach in the league…..are you kidding me? The thought is straight dumpster juice. Is this the same coach who has taken the Bills to four playoff runs in five seasons coached. An organization who hadn’t made the playoffs for 17 straight years. The audacity to dismiss his accomplishments. The Bills are literally this season’s Super Bowl favorites. Stop the entire cap and pay some respect to Sean McDermott and the Bills organization. By the way, he is #3 not #16. For God so loved the world, that PFF would make Sean McDermott a forgotten coach. And whosoever believed that nonsense shouldn’t perish but should never be allowed to publicly post any sports thoughts ever again. Shame on y’all. Buffalo Bisons
This week is a get straight to the point week for Buffalo sporting teams. One question stands out to me. Where is the batting for this Bisons team? There is no offensive player currently that bats over .283. The Bisons have currently scored 258 runs with barely average hitting. The Herd finished their homestand against the Worcester Red Sox with a 4-3 loss on last Sunday. The Bisons relief pitching gave up two home runs in the 8th inning and they never fully recovered. The Bisons will be on the road this week upcoming against Lehigh Valley . The Herd’s next homestand is against St.Paul Saints. The Bisons current record stands at 33-26 which is 3rd in the Triple A East division. Can the Bisons gain more ground this week on the Rochester Red Wings?
Buffalo Sabres
Breaking News!!!!!!! The Buffalo Sabres have acquired Ben Bishop from the Dallas Stars for future considerations. The Sabres have agreed to take on Ben Bishop’s salary as a part of the deal. This is a major move for the young Sabres team that thrived during the months of March and April. This acquisition could very well pay dividends if they can keep Ben Bishop healthy. Can Bishop perform at a high level with the rooks and young pieces that the Sabres possess? If so, the Sabres could be screaming “Playoffs” with their chest as they look to check mates or opposing teams all season long. Bishop definitely had the juice in Dallas as he recorded a 74-48-11 record with a goal against average of 2.33 and 14 shutouts. The Sabres are heating up in the offseason. Will the Sabres continue to make more strides toward making this young team better? What moves do you want the Sabres to make during the offseason? The NCW Summer Slugfest at the Polish Cadet on Grant Street was proof in the pudding that this wrestling promotion is moving in the right direction. With the wrestling smarts of Steven Stroh aka Shadokat, Sam Slade, and Matthew Amato they have put together one hell of a wrestling promotion as this event was definitely a “you shouldn’t have missed this” event. The Women’s division is red hot good. The mid card and top tier wrestling has a great variety of wrestlers.
