Buffalo Bills News

There is big time fireworks coming from One Bills Drive this week as the Buffalo Bills made a booming contract extension that would keep All Pro wide receiver Stefon Diggs with the Buffalo Bills organization presumptuously for the rest of his NFL career. The 4 year 96 million dollar contract extension not only was well deserved but the resounding move also saved the Buffalo Bills 7.7 million dollars on the salary cap. As a Buffalo Bill, Stefon Diggs has caught 230 passes for over 2700 yards and 18 touchdowns. Since Stefon Diggs became a Buffalo Bill, the Buffalo Bills have a 24-9 regular season record and the Buffalo Bills have won three playoff games. In other Buffalo Bills news, the conversation to bring safety to the safety position may come sooner than later as there’s been many talks about Jordan Poyer and the idea that he may want a larger contract. By the numbers, Jordan Poyer has been one of the best safeties in football. Since 2017, when Jordan joined the bills, he has compiled 519 combined tackles, 18 interceptions, and 10 sacks. Jordan Poyer will become a unrestricted free agent in 2023. At the age of 32, should the Buffalo Bills make the investment to keep Jordan Poyer in a Bills uniform? The Bills will have a lot of organizational decisions to make as the bills will have to look at players such as Dawson Knox, Tremaine Edmonds and others as well. Buffalo Sabres News

The Buffalo Sabres were officially eliminated from playoff contention last week but that shouldn’t be the only story to come from this Sabres season. This Buffalo Sabres team showed great team chemistry and a fighters spirit as this team should be something to be looked upon for the next couple of seasons to come. The month of March Madness saw the Sabres go 10-4-1. The Sabres just like the Buffalo Bills will have to make some organizational moves to keep this team moving in the right direction. One of these moves were already made as the Buffalo sabers signed Owen Power. Other moves in my great estimation that need to be made would include keeping the core players such as Tage Thompson, Jeff Skinner, Kyle Okposo, Victor Olaffsson, Rasmus Dahlin, and Alex Tuch. The Sabres are on a three-game losing streak currently as their four-game road trip will end in Toronto. The Sabres will be back home April 14th against the St Louis Blues.

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins dies at the age of 24 after being struck by a truck on Interstate 595 in South Florida on Saturday. Dwayne Haskins is best known for his 50 touchdown season at Ohio State University. Haskins was also a national champion. Let us celebrate his accomplishments.
Frank Vogel will not be returning as the LA Lakers head coach next season as the Lakers compiled a very disappointing 33-49. The vast majority of sports fanatics had the Lakers as an odds on favorite to play in the NBA Finals this season. Some of the names that played on this God awful team include LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, Anthony Davis, Carmelo Anthony, Malik Monk and many more. Where would you rank this team as it pertains to the most overrated NBA teams of all time?
