Councilmember For A Day Contest!

Councilmember for a Day is a contest sponsored by the Buffalo Common Council, Juneteenth Festival Inc. and the Buffalo Public Schools. 

The contest  asks 5th to 8th grade students to write a letter  to their district’s councilmember that answers the questions “What Can I Do To Make My City better?”  

In the letter the student will offer suggestions on what they would do as a councilmember to improve the conditions of the City of Buffalo.

Student winners will be honored at a reception, receive prizes, meet their district councilmember and possibly attend a Common Council meeting in person or virtually. 

Deadline is Friday April 15.
