UB Football News

The era of Maurice Linguist has begun with a resounding victory over the Wagner Seahawks 69-7. The atmosphere was phenomenal for the season opener as the UB bulls have won 11 out of 12 season openers at home. It was action-packed from start to finish. The UB Bulls made light work of the Seahawks defense on the third play of the game when Kyle Vantrease hit Jovany Ruiz for a 63 yard touchdown to open up the scoring for the Bulls. The game was pretty much over from there. If you have not heard of Taylor Riggins well you will now as he is the Challenger News Rise Up Right player to watch. This defensive end was everywhere on the field. At 6′ 2″ 250 lbs Riggins was very TJ Watt like and definitely deserves the spotlight. Riggins in 2019 was All MAC defensive end who ranked second in sacks with 8.5 and had 50 tackles. The Bulls looked great in all phrases of the game including special teams as the punter had an off week because he didnt have to see the field. This week the Bulls will travel to Nebraska to face the Cornhuskers. Will the dominant start to the Maurice Linguist era continue? Buffalo Bisons News
The last time, I wrote an article on the Bisons. The conversation wasnt so pleasant. We saw the Bisons lose their top of the Northeastern Division place. The Bisons were struggling with Worchester. I’m going to assume that the Bisons organization reads the Rise Up Right Articles because they have been on fire every since. 10 STRAIGHT WINS…..and going forward as the Syracuse SkyChiefs look like the next meal on the Bisons dinner plate. By the way, I want to give a huge thank you to the Bisons organization for giving the fans a great season amid the COVID pandemic. The Bisons are currently 5 games ahead of Worchester holding the top spot down again. Will the Bisons continue this surge throughout September? Next week I will give you the Rise Up Right top players of the season for the Bisons.

The NFL season starts tonight as the Dallas Cowboys visit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Ben Simmons still hasn’t found a home as the reports have gotten more ridiculous when it comes to his trade value. At this point the 76ers might as well trade him to the Walmart franchise for a bag of nickels and a bunch of shopping carts to put his fan worn jerseys in to set out for tthe next available trash day.
