On August 13 and 14 the African American Health Equity task Force presented the IGNITING HOPE CONFERENCE. This free conference was designed to heal historical trauma from racists research, policies and practices and featured A Walk of Healing on Friday followed by a Virtual Conference that Saturday. The Walk of Healing was an in person walk that kicked off the conference. The walk started at Michigan and Broadway at the African American Heritage Corridor Archway and ended at the Freedom Wall where a community celebration was held.
