Sisters In The Brotherhood Pre-Apprentice Training Program Graduates

The North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters has completed the 2021 session for the Sisters in the Brotherhood Pre-Apprentice Training program. Jontai Bolden, Christina Killourhy, Courtney Riker, and Jazzmeica Smith, all from Erie County, have passed this Direct Entry course and we wish them all the success as they pursue their individual paths into a new career. 

In addition to family and friends, in attendance were Instructors Jackie Potter, Matt May, WNY Business Manager Chris Austin, Local 276 President Chris Stone, Council Rep Jomo Akono and City of Buffalo Director of Urban Affairs – Ka’Ron Barnes. Ras Jomo is active in helping to facilitate the program.

In a related development Ras Jomo Akono, who was initially appointed,  was   recently elected a delegate to the North Atlantic Regional Council of Carpenters as part of Joe Byrne’s  slate. Byrne was  elected Executive secretary-treasury.
