Buffalo mayoral candidate India Walton is proud to receive the endorsement of Run for Something (RFS), the groundbreaking organization that recruits and supports strong voices in the next generation of progressive leadership.
“The endorsement of Run For Something, an organization that has been very successful in supporting the next generation of progressive leadership, denotes a significant shift in Buffalo politics,” says India. “For me, this is huge because as a first time candidate, the support of this national organization lends even more credibility and viability to my campaign.”
India joins a diverse group of endorsed candidates, including three veterans, 20 parents, 11 first-generation immigrants and 6 candidates who identify as members of the disabled community; who will now have additional support for grassroots fundraising as part of a national movement.
“Our newest class of endorsements bring a unique and valuable perspective to their respective communities, each committed to effecting long-overdue, necessary and progressive change within their community,” says RFS co-founder Ross Morales Rocketto. “We are at a critical time in history and the momentum these candidates generate will have a lasting impact for years to come.”
The endorsement process includes an extensive internal review with background check, staff interview and insight from local state experts.
