Youth Invited to Apply for Summer Employment Programs In Buffalo and Rochester

Apply Now for Mayor Summer Youth Jobs: Deadline is March 31 Applications are now available for the Mayor’s Summer Youth Internship and Employment Program . The jobs program runs from July 12 through August 20 and provides in-person as well as work-readiness training for city youth between 14 and 21 years old. Apply on line at buffalony.gov/MSYAPP. Mail-in or in-person application drop-offs will not be accepted. The deadline to apply is March 31. Form ore information call 851-5887.

Mayor Lovely A. Warren, Monroe County and RochesterWorks! invite youth ages of 14—20 to apply for the City’s Summer of Opportunity Program (SOOP) and RochesterWorks! Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP). “The Summer of Opportunity and Summer Youth Employment programs provide our youth with essential, real world experience,” said Mayor Warren. “Through this experience, they can gain the skills they need to advance to successful careers in a competitive job market. Helping to build up our future generation of leaders is key to our mission of creating more jobs, which leads to safer, more vibrant neighborhoods, better educational opportunities and greater equity in the city of Rochester.”
