Born and raised in Buffalo, NY, Antigone Patton-Peek, attended Public School 9, BUILD Academy, and graduated from Hutch Tech High School. She joined the US Air Force after high school. Following her military service, she finished her undergraduate degree to become an Exceptional Children’s Teacher.
In August of 2007, as an NC Principal Fellow – Class 14 at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Mrs. Peek completed her Masters in School Administration, and went on to obtain an Educational Specialist Degree (Ed.S) in Educational Leadership from Liberty University.
Currently, she is pursuing her Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership from Liberty University. Her capstone project will focus on how to improve the low reading proficiency of students at Buffalo Creek Academy.
Mrs. Peek’s previous experience includes, Principal, Assistant Principal, Educational Consultant, Exceptional Children’s Teacher, Exceptional Children’s Case Manager,Registration Secretary, Teacher Assistant, and United States Air Force Veteran.
