In the month of January, we pause to celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and others who were a part of the Civil Rights Movement. Unfortunately after we read the I Have a Dreamspeech from the March on Washington in 1963, we cease to study King and his philosophy. Dr. King in his book: Where Do We Go From Here spoke on racism: “If Western civilization does not now respond constructively to the challenge to banish racism, some future historian will have to say that a great civilization died because it lacked the soul and commitment to make justice a reality for all men.”
