Buffalo Bills News

Please start putting some respect on the Buffalo Bills name.
The more the naysayers keep hating is all the more reason why the Bills keep producing wins. The wagon just keeps circling as the Bills didn’t just beat the Steelers, they demoralized the Steelers with a 26-15 Victory on Sunday Night Football.

Josh Allen did not need a 300-yard performance to surgically remove the doubt that the Bills are playoff contenders. The defense played spectacular in the first half as you got to see the Bills growth on defense. Let me give you some premise to this calculated thought.

For most of the first half Ben Roethlisberger was getting away with getting rid of the football with short precision passes to players like Juju Smith Schuster, Eric Ebron and Diontae Johnson. Taron Johnson looked like he was in for a long night but making the proper adjustments was important as his read on Ben Roethlisberger’s short out passing attempt to Juju Smith Schuster led to a pick-six.

The Bills would take a 9-7 halftime lead and the momentum of the game into the locker room. The Buffalo Bills also did what they were supposed to in stopping a Pittsburgh Steelers run offense that has been god-awful the last 6 weeks by holding them to 47 yards on the ground.

The Bills defense also held the Pittsburgh Steelers offense to a 10 percent conversion rate on third downs in which led to 8 Pittsburgh Steelers punts. Levi Wallace who got turned around earlier in the game on a James Washington touchdown pass redeemed himself by intercepting Ben Roethlisberger midway through the fourth quarter. It was a phenomenal effort play by Wallace.

This play would seal the Steelers fate. Stefon Diggs turned up in the second half as the Bills made adjustments on offense in the 2nd half by putting him on the other side of the Bills formations and he went to work. Stefon Diggs finish the game with 10 catches, 130 yards and  a touchdown. His 10 catches would give him 100 catches on the season which would tie Eric Moulds for the most catches by a Bills receiver in history.

The Bills still have 3 games left on the schedule. The Bills will be looking to create history once more on Saturday as they face the Denver Broncos.

The Buffalo Bills with a win on Saturday will have clinched the AFC East Division for the first time since 1995. Will the Bills clinch the division on Saturday?

The UB Bulls will remain undefeated for another week as they made light work of the Akron Zips football team by defeating them 56-7 last Saturday. Kevin Marks and Jaret Patterson would both run for over a hundred yards and put up two touchdowns in this game. The UB Bulls will play Ball State for the MAC title on Friday night.
