Buffalo Bills New

After the Buffalo Bills gave up 17 straight points to the Arizona Cardinals in the second half, the Bills were looking to change the games momentum and all they needed was to capitalize on this drive late in the 4th quarter. A field goal would tie the ball game at 26 but a touchdown would be better and after a great catch by Cole Beasley on a 3rd and 2, the Bills later in the drive  would be in a 2nd and 1 position at the Arizona 22 with 39 seconds left. Josh Allen back to pass, he looks and throws, TOUCHDOWN……. TOUCHDOWN…..Stefon Diggs.

The Western New York Region and everyone who is apart of BillsMafia were now going wild as the sweet scent of being 8-2 became so much more surreal. Isaiah McKenzie was quoted saying “That’s why you here” and Stefon Diggs said “Thats why you feed me”. This was the moment Sean McDermott and Brandon Beane had fought to get to. The Bills took the lead 30-26 with 30 seconds left. Now what in the world could happen in 30 seconds. The answer is ALOT. The answer in this case was shattered dreams and broken hearts.

After Kyler Murray completed two passes, the ball would sit at the Bills 43 yard line. What happened next would be nothing short of legendary as DeAndre Hopkins who is regarded by many as the best wideout in the NFL  would catch what is being called the “Hail Murray”. The catch would break the internet as “D Hop” outjumped Tre White, Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer to secure the Cardinals sixth victory of the season. The final score 32-30. The Bills would go into the bye week with a 7-3 record. Even with the 7-3 record there are some things the Bills needed to give attention to during the bye week. The third quarter has been a tremendous period for the Bills team. The bills have been outscored 76 to 30 this season in the third quarter.

The bad news for the Bills is that those 76 points given up is the most of any team in the NFL. If you thought the third quarter was bad, the Bills have given up 91 points in the fourth quarter which is the fourth most of any NFL team this season even though they’ve scored 93 points which is the most in the NFL. The defense that the BillsMafia got accustomed to last season is no longer present. The Bills second best defense is all a memory now and there’s plenty of blame to go around.

The Bills defensive line has not gotten enough pressure on quarterbacks this season. The bills run defense is also an issue as they are 28th and run defense giving up 135 yards per game. The Buffalo Bills are 17th in pass defense which is a major decline from last season where they flaunted the second best secondary in the league.

In order for the Buffalo Bills to stampede into the playoffs they will have to fix all of these issues as they have the 13th toughest schedule for the rest of the season. On offense to build will have to consistently display some type of running game to help Josh Allen manage these upcoming games as they get prepared to make a playoff run if they make a playoff run. The Bills will also need to do something they have not done since 1995 and that is win the AFC East Division. It would be the first time Josh Allen has ever seen the Bills win the AFC East Division.

The Buffalo Bills next opponent is the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday night. Will the Bills be able to bounce back from their heartbreaking loss and get back on the winning wave?

UB Bulls Football

The UB “undefeated” Bulls will be riding high as play they face Kent State at home this Thanksgiving weekend. This will be a battle between two unbeaten teams. The Bulls will be looking to start the season 4-0 for just the third time in their school’s history. Jaret Patterson will continue to carve up defenses as he has started the season off on fire. The junior starting running back has tallied up 511 yards with eight touchdowns(both totals lead the MAC Conference). Jared Patterson also leads the nation in rushing yards per game with a 170 yards per game on the ground. The last time these two teams played Kent State pulled off a comeback in a 30 to 27 thriller. Will the Bulls go 4-0?
