Talented Young Vocalist is One of Top 2 Finalists in BET Sunday Best Gospel Competition

At the end of the nationally televised “Sunday’s Best” on BET this past weekend, Buffalo’s own beautiful and t talented Jada Alana Spight advanced as one of the final two contestants left in this season’s gospel singing competition. The winner will be announced next Sunday, August 23.
A junior honor student (distance learning) at Fisk University, she currently resides in Buffalo with her mom due to COVID-19. She is a member of True Bethel Baptist Church, pastored by Bishop Darius Pridgen. She is a graduate of the Buffalo Academy for visual and Performing Arts where she majored in music under former music director Karen Saxon and vocal instructor George Davis. Singing since the tender age of three, Jada has made tremendous strides in her young life, from sharing the stage with gospel greats like Kim Burrell and Donnie McClurkin to appearing in March on the Steve Harvey Show. She is the daughter of Pastor L. Allen and Ms. Michelle Denise Spight. The youngest of five, she is following in the footsteps of her sister Alexis Spight, who made it into the top two Sunday Best in Season 5.
