Memorial AME Zion Church Scholarship Winners

The  C.I. Bullock Scholarship Board is pleased to announce the   recipients of the 2020   Scholarship award to Tyreese McMillian-Harris and Corey Miller Davis.   

Mr. Harris (pictured above) a 2020 graduating senior of Vertus High School, is  an Urban League Black Scholar; recipient of his school’s red jacket and red tie which symbolizes academic achievement and growth in character; an active youth participant at Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church where he is currently Vice president of the Rochester/Syracuse Young People’s Congress; recipient of Memorial’s AME Zion 2018 Outstanding Youth Award; AND volunteers at church and community activities including the  Memorial Boy Scout Troop #169.  Tyreese has been accepted at Nazareth College where he plans to study Criminal Justice and become an outstanding Lawyer.  

2020 C. I. Bullock Scholarship Winner Corey Miller Davis

Corey Miller Davis, a 2020 graduating senior of World of Inquiry, is an avid sportsman who demonstrates leadership qualities on and off the basketball, baseball, volleyball and soccer courts. He is  an active participant in youth services at Memorial A.M.E.Zion Church; attended and participated in several AME Zion District conferences as part of the youth missionary delegation; is employed at Wegmans as part of the Hillside Work Scholarship Program; volunteers at church, school and community  activities to support the needy and his school peers.  Corey has been accepted at Buffalo State and plans to pursue a degree in Electrical Engineering.  

We are extremely proud of our youth and we wish them the very best as they continue their educational journey.
