Connecting Businesses to Resources for Assistance

Mayor Byron W. Brown and The City of Buffalo Office of Strategic Planning have launched  Reopen Buffalo  as an online resource for businesses and the community.  Reopen Buffalo will enable businesses and consumers to see critical reopened business information, including hours of operation, services offered, contact information, etc. Additionally, Reopen Buffalo will serve as a communication tool between businesses and City Hall, providing businesses with the latest information about the COVID-19 emergency and the City of Buffalo’s response to adequately restore economic activity swiftly and responsibly.  Business Assistance: There is also a Business Assistance tab on the City’s COVID-19 website to provide you with business-related resources and guidance during this difficult time. Business owners are encouraged to reach out to  Westminster Economic Development Initiative (WEDI), LISC WNY, Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at SUNY Buffalo State, Pursuit Lending, that are are providing various types of business assistance and guidance during these troubling times. Beverly Gray Business Center: During the ongoing pandemic, the Beverly Gray Business Exchange Center will operate virtually to assist our small businesses on Buffalo’s East Side and throughout Western New York. BETC: Although some businesses have closed, others are experiencing a labor shortage. The BETC continues to provide career and referral services to our customers.
