Paul Robeson Theatre at the African American Cultural Center will close out its theatre season with it’s final production of “Three Sistahs” written by Thomas W. Jones II and original music score written by William F. Hubbard. Three Sistah’s will be Directed by noted storyteller Renita Shadwick who was last seen In the Paul Robeson Theatre production King Hedley II.

In 1969 Washington, D.C. sisters Olive, Marsha, & Irene are all that remain of the Bradshaw family after burying their mother, father & now younger brother. As they reunite to grieve together for the third year in a row, they share secrets & memories in spirited gospel song in this elegant and moving musical.  The cast includes: Danielle Green, Denise Mullen and Taniesha Facey.

Keeping with the theatres Mother’s Day tradition this year will be no different – come meet new people, break bread with the one you love while enjoying a wonderful production.

This year’s deliciously catered soul food menu includes: Turkey, Dressing, Gravy & Cranberry Sauce, Roast Beef w/Au Jour, Fried Chicken, Green Beans w/Potatoes, Greens, Macaroni & Cheese, Tossed Salad w/Italian Dressing, Corn Bread w/Butter, Dinner Rolls, Water, Soda and Various Cakes for dessert!

Three Sistah’s runs May 3 – May 26 Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sunday matinee at 4pm with audience talkback after the production on Sundays. Mother’s Day Dinner .
