Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church, the oldest African-American church in Rochester and Monroe County, recently celebrated the opening of the Instructional Technology Lab, a new public access computer lab and learning center. Located adjacent to the church, the eight-seat computer lab will provide community members access to a technology curriculum to help bridge the digital divide that limits the upward mobility of people in low-income communities. The lab was made possible by a donation of modern computer equipment and furniture from M&T Bank. Memorial A.M.E. Zion is under the leadership of Rev. Derrill A. Blue.
