SideWalk Stage Play and Adaptation of a Poetic Story by Edreys Wajed

Based off a spoken word piece by Edreys Wajed along with three other talented artists in 2017 the Sidewalk Stage Play is at the Paul Robeson Theatre March 15 through April 7 .

When it comes to his approach to his life, his art, and all his pursuits, Wajed’s motto is simple: “Creativity is my neighbor, I live by it!”
Artistic Director Paulette D. Harris is eager for you to be part of this creative work.

She is known for her more than thirty years work in theatre, nineteen years in television, coordinator of the Annual Pine Grill Jazz Reunion, coordinator of the August Wilson Monologue Competition, local Film Casting Director and Project Manager for Get Fokus’d Productions. The Sidewalk Stageplay where life and death fight, where wrong confronts right, where darkness meets light, what happens when the lights go down? When you think nobody is watching?

The ensemble cast includes: Andy Noel, Anthony Clark, Arterist Molson, Ayana Naolmi, Chalma Warmley, Daniel Greer, Edreys Wajed, Isaac Fareed, Janine D. Glover, Janisha Whitlock, Linda Barr, Madeline E. Allard, Mike Hicks and Zack McCarty.

The Sidewalk Stageplay features original music by some of our local student artists Shayne Nevilles, Meaco Faulks, and Eman Wajed, Videography from Young and Fokus’d Productions and Emeka Wajed, owner of “Ray Mek” also known as Madebymek Sneakers.

The Sidewalk Stageplay runs March 15 – April 7, 2019. Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sunday matinee at 4pm with audience talkback after the production on Sundays.
