Eddie Clemons Sr. A Tribute To Life & Legacy !

 

Eddie Clemons Sr. was born on December 22, 1916 in Minter Alabama. He was drafted into the United States Army on November 18, 1941 into Fort McLellan Army Base during World War II.

He was ranked as a Private. During his time in the service, he received the Good service medal, American Defense Service Medal, American Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal, European African Middle Eastern Service Medal with one Silver Star and Bronze Arrowhead. He served his country until November 4, 1945 when he was honorably discharged.

He then moved to Buffalo, New York in January 1945. He was employed by Buffalo Color until his retirement. He married the love of his life Ruby Lee Clemons and they had three children Eddie Clemons Jr, Michael Clemons and Shirley Johnson. He has 4 grandchildren; Ashley Washington, Bria` Johnson, Adric Johnson and Glenn Johnson.

He also has 4 great-grandchildren; Charles A. Washington, Madison Washington, Asia Johnson and Asher Johnson. Eddie Clemons has been a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church for over sixty years where he serves on the Deacon Board and the Men’s Club.
