The Northland Workforce Training Center, an advanced manufacturing and energy training facility is OPEN!
All operations, meetings and weekly pre-enrollment sessions will take place at 683 Northland Ave. The Center is actively searching for new students to enroll in their 6-for-credit technical skills training programs taught by SUNY Alfred State and SUNY Erie faculty. The programs which include Machine Tool Technology, Welding Technology, CNC Precision Machining, Mechatronics Technicians, Energy Utility Technology and Electrical Construction and Maintenance Electrician.
Students who apply now can start in January of 2019 (depending on the program) and will be eligible to participate in our students only manufacturing job fair this October.
Northland is uniquely designed to reduce all major barriers students encounter that may prohibit program completion. The center offers career planning services, transportation, childcare, academic readiness and financial aid assistance to ensure program completion and successful employer placement.
