Rise Up Right: Highlights In Sports w/Andre Robinson

Thank you for Rising Up Right this week. Let’s get right into the highlights.

– Buffalo Bills News –

The Buffalo Bills training camp started on Thursday with a bang as Sean McDermott, Brandon Beane, and LeSean McCoy had some very in depth press conference talks with myself and the media. The interviews were very informative. The experience on the field was beyond remarkable. The Buffalo Bills look very focused on training camp. The standout players on the first day of training camp were Rod Streater and Tremaine Edmonds. I was very impressive by Edmonds speed and agility. I also very excited to see Streater catching everything that was thrown to him no matter who was the quarterback. Speaking of quarterbacks, I was quiet excited to see that we will have an intense, and watch worthy competition between Josh Allen, AJ McCarron, and Nathan Peterman. My advice to the Bills Nation would be to keep an eye out on Robert Foster from Alabama. He is showing a lot of potential. He has good hands and good speed that with time could make him a reliable resource to the wide receiver corps. Get Ready as the training camp moves from St.John Fisher College to New Era Field on Friday August 3rd. Tickets will be required to attend this event.

-Buffalo Bisons News-

The Buffalo Bisons entered a short four game homestand on Monday against Lehigh Valley. This is a very important home stand as the Bisons will need to pick up the pace in the wins column if they want to make the postseason. The Bisons after the homestand will be at war on the road against a Scranton Wilkes Barre team that currently has an 8 game lead on the Bisons. When was the last time the Bisons made the postseason? The best hitters like Darnell Sweeney, Rowdy Tellez, and Danny Jansen will need to load up the hits if they have any chance. The Bisons play today at 5:35pm for Game One of a doubleheader and tomorrow at 1:05pm.

-Buffalo Sabres News –

For the last couple weeks major attention has been put on negotiating 23-year-old Sam Reinhart’s contract. Reinhardt is the last remaining unsigned free on the team. Reinhart has played 249 games with the Sabres. In those games he has complied 65 goals and 140 points. Sam carries a 0.26gpg and a 0.56 ppg. Hopefully the Sabres will re-sign Reinhart with the young talent this Sabres has because he could be a great role model to some the rookies coming into the franchise.

What moves will the Sabres make next as we get closer to the preseason?
