Positive Examples of Working Together Within Our Communities To Support Ourselves And Our Neighbors During The Covid-19 Crisis

GROUP Ministries, Second Chance Ministries Sponsor Mask Giveaway Every Monday and Friday between 12pm -2pm

Bishop Frederick A. Gelsey of One in Christ Church led a prayer of protection for the community

As the community continues to stand together to protect its residents against Covid-19, GROUP Ministries and Second Chance Ministries continued their free weekly giveaway of masks, gloves and hand sanitizer. Monday afternoon Cars pulled up in both directions on Jefferson Avenue in front of GROUP  Ministries headquarters to receive the free items where Pastor Boyd and participating members handed out the packets to everyone who needed one.  At the close of the giveaway Bishop Frederick A. Gelsey of One in Christ Church led a prayer of protection for the community ending with “let’s follow the direction of social distancing ( 6ft) and doing what we are supposed to do to outsmart this virus because we are smarter than this virus.”   Group Ministries and Second Chance Ministries will be giving away masks each Monday and Friday at 1333 Jefferson Ave. between 12 noon – 2p.m. while supplies last.
