June 12: Wednesday: Documentary Screening of “67: Buffalo Uprising” Urban Legacy Film, Museum of Science– 1020 Humboldt Pkwy: Free and open to the public

June 13: Thursday: A Night of Poetry& Spoken Word, Landmark 318 Pearl Street

June 14: Friday: Praise and Worship Service, Location: near the Martin Luther King Jr. Bust – time: 5:30pm to 7:30 p.m.

Juneteenth Parade Kicks Off Festivities Saturday June 15Th!

The Juneteenth  Parade begins at 11:00 a.m. sharp from the corners of Genesee & Moselle Sts., and proceeds down Genesee into the Park, followed  by festivities in the Park until 8:00 p.m.

Featured Festivities include:  Entertainment Stage, Arts and Culture Stage, “Edutainment “ Stage, Vendors’ Market, Food Court, Health Pavilion, African Heritage Chalk Walk, Book Sharing, an Agricultural Pavilion, Historical Exhibits, Re-enactment of Historical Events; Science Fair, Children’s Activities, Youth Activities, Basketball, Boxing  Underground Railroad Tours, and more!

Come and enjoy a fun-filled weekend for the entire family! The Juneteenth Festival of Buffalo, NY is one of the largest culturally inspired festivals in the U.S.A. Its mission is to “actively preserve and promote the broad spectrum of African American heritage through educational and cultural activities that will benefit the community as a whole.”

THE JUNETEENTH PARADE:  Saturday June 15th – begins at Genesee and Moselle Sts. – 11:00 a.m.

BUFFALO PUBLIC SCHOOLS: Saturday June 15th: presents Art activities (creating masks, jewelry making, stamping and button making) – from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (near the MLK Jr. Bust)

GIRLS AND BOYS BASKETBALL SHOWCASE: Saturday, June 15th at the Basketball Courts 

Clown around Entertainment: Youth Carnival: near Basketball courts.

CHILDREN’S ACTIVITIES TENT:  June 15 & 16- 11a.m. to 6p.m. – Face painting, Saturday 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.. by Sara; Erie County Public Library presents The Book Mobile, Saturday, 10a.m. – 6 p.m. – Location: Behind the small wading pool.
