Desmond Green Wins By Unanimous Decision at UFC Fight Night Bout

Rochester’s  own Desmond Green defeated Canadian lightweight Charles Jourdain by unanimous decision at UFC on ESPN Fight Night Saturday at Blue Cross Arena at the Community War Memorial.  The Rush-Henrietta  grad said he  was blown away by the crowd’s support and the standing ovation he received. Prior to Saturday’s fight  Desmond had a 22-8 record in 30 career bouts as a professional comprised of 15 decisions, six knockouts and one submission. He made his  debut appearance with the UFC in 2017. His Key Stat : Green improved to 4-0 in his home state of New York and never has lost a fight on the East Coast.

He Stated in recent interview post game  “I knew it was going to be a roar, but I could literally feel the vibrations through my body as they were roaring. In my head, I was like, ‘This is for me? I love you, Rochester, but dang – I didn’t know it was going to come out like this.’ I’ll be dreaming about this for the next couple weeks.”
