“How Would You Spend $50 Million on the East Side of Buffalo?” Essay Contest

Governor Andrew Cuomo recently announced that $50 million would be available for improvements on the East Side of Buffalo.

Governor Andrew Cuomo recently announced that $50 million would be available for improvements on the East Side of Buffalo.

Participants in this essay contest must give their ideas on how they think the money should be spent. Some of the areas earmarked for the money include the Martin Luther King, Jr. Park, the Broadway Market, and the African American Heritage Corridor. 

Flyers with the rules of the contest are at the Merriweather Library. The prizes are first place $100, second place $50 and third place $25.

The deadline to enter is April 22. Essays can be emailed to ewriter52@aol.com.
