Rise Up Right Highlights In Sports w/Andre Robinson

I want to thank everyone for supporting Rise Up Right and the Challenger Community News.

Let’s get right into the highlights.

UB Football News

On a night where most people ask for a trick-or-treat, beggars night turned into a treat for the growing and loyal fans of the Bulls stampede as UB defeated the Miami OH Redhawks 51-42. The Bulls showed us why it is important to play four quarters of football. They out-scored the Redhawks 9-0 in the final quarter and the defense held their ground by shutting the Redhawks out after giving up 42 points in the first 3 quarters. Tyree Jackson had another stellar performance throwing for 358 yards and three touchdowns. Jaret Patterson run for 96 yards and a score and Anthony Johnson who in my opinion is the best wideout in the country had a historic night scoring 3 touchdowns and racking up 238 yards of receiving. Can the Bulls finish 9-1 and win the MAC Conference Championship? The answer lies on the road ahead.

Buffalo Sabres

The Buffalo Sabres put on a scoring clinic on this past Saturday as they destroyed the Ottawa Senators 9-2. This team looks very promising when they are in sync and dialed in to giving us their very best team effort. Jason Pominville and Jeff Skinner each scored two goals and had an assist. Jack Eichel also added 3 assists as the Sabres need to continue to get production from their first line. The Sabres visit the Montreal Canadiens, and will be playing at home against the Vanucover Canucks, and the Tampa Bay Lightning this week. Can the Sabres move up spots in the Atlantic Division as they currently sit in 5th place.

Villa Maria Basketball

The Villa Maria Vikings Basketball season has just gotten underway and they are a must watch team who made the national championship in their respective league. On this past Saturday night, the lady Vikings team won their game 70-57 over Warren Wilson. The Mens team won a overtime thriller 99-97 in OT over Univ Maine Fort Kent. Johnathan Pozo scored the game winning layup and one basket for the Vikings as they stayed undefeated at 4-0 to start the season. The Mens and Womens teams possession great talent and will be looking to build toward successful seasons. Can the Vikings stay on their winning path?

The Torch’s NFL Games of the Week

The Bears mauled the Bills 41-9. The Patriots beat the Packers 31-17.

The Saints marched past the Rams 45-35.
