Brunette Washington, 104 Brunette Washington was born in Forkland, Alabama on June 6, 1914. Her family moved to Lackawanna in 1939 and she eventually moved to Buffalo with her own family in the mid 1940s. Mother Washington is first and foremost a devoted women of God, she loves the Lord, and has dedicated her life to Him, her family and her church, Macedonia where she has been a member for 74 years! Also active outside the church, she is a member of the Pratt Willert Center. She raised 4 children and has fifteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and twelve great great grandchildren. Her favorite words of advice to her children and grandchildren is, “ya’ll stay together. You stand divided you fall, and children ya’ll love one another.”
