Come and have a cup of tea with me!
Whether we know it or not, we are all interconnected with the earth and spirit. It does our hearts well to touch nature with our senses: to touch a tree, smell a flower, walk barefoot in the grass, listen to the wind. This reconnects us to the ”real” world that’s around us, not the man-made concrete jungle that encapsulates us, especially those of us that live in the inner city.
The earth, air and water are living and breathing, with electric energy, microorganism communities, animals and us! The air is not empty and carries life from bacteria to seeds, etc. Water also is filled with life from the microscopic to the largest living mammals on earth.
We all breathe together, and when in pain, we all groan together. But, we are so far removed and disconnected, that we don’t understand the language in which our bodies, the soil, plants and animals communicate in. Therefore, we are disinherited from the earth and its inhabitants.
Let’s reconnect and be quiet, observe and relearn these primal languages of earth and sky. Let us meditate on the things that are honest, just, pure, lovely and true and be Renewed!
It’s Soul Organic! Deidra M. Emel (aka. Sis. Benaiah) is a local herbalist and urban homesteader. She will grace us periodically

The word, “organic,” she explains, ” among many definitions, is denoted or characterized by a harmonious relationship between the elements of a whole.”
