“Get On The Bus” Breast Cancer Prevention Campaign in Buffalo!

In recognition of National Breast Cancer Month, the Community Health Center of Buffalo, Inc., AKA and The Witness Project have joined forces with Windsong Radiology to host a 2018 kickoff ceremony called “Shades of Pink – GET ON THE BUS”! Shades of Pink” represents both the colors of AKA and Breast Cancer Awareness.

Sharon Bradley, President of the Gamma Phi Omega Chapter of AKA stated, “We recognize that the mortality rate for breast cancer in African American women is nearly double the rate of White women. Dee Johnson of the Witness Project expressed pride in being a part of the campaign. “We are proud to be a partner in this important campaign!”

Dr. LaVonne Ansari, CEO of the Community Health Center of Buffalo, Inc., shared, We are hosting mammogram events throughout the month of October at each of our four sites according to the following schedule:
