Rise Up Right Highlights in Sports w/Andre ‘The Torch’ Robinson

I want to thank everybody for rising up right with me this week. Let’s get right into the highlights.

Buffalo Bills

On a very warm September afternoon in Western New York, many bills fans awaited the rookie quarterback Josh Allen’s first NFL start against the LA Chargers who were shell shocked last week against the Chiefs.

Many believe that Josh Allen should have started to begin the season in which Nathan Peterman did but got roughed up more than a passer whose been contacted late in a game by Clay Matthews. Josh Allen’s first start was a roller coaster ride to say the least as he was sacked six times, threw 2 interceptions and missed some throws but showed some grit in the 2nd half as the Bills with all that being said lost to the Chargers 31-20 at New Era Field. Josh Allen was 18-33 245 yards and added a late TD pass to Kelvin Benjamin. The offensive line again was very shaky.

The run game again this week was obsolete as LeSean McCoy carried the ball 9 times for 39 yards. Zay Jones led the bills receivers with 2 catches for 63 yards. The defense gave up 349 yards of total offense. Phillip Rivers threw for 3 scores and the chargers ran for 109 more as this game was more of a blowout victory than an 11 point difference. The biggest news from this game is the bizarre retirement of Vontae Davis at halftime.

The Bills were down 28-6 at that time when teammates witnessed Davis leave New Era Field saying that he was finished with the game of football. His teammates were very upset as Lorenzo Alexander told the media that he has never witnessed anything like this in any organized sport that he has ever played. Well Lorenzo, the Bills fans have not witnessed this type of dysfunction from a Buffalo Bills football team in a long time so I guess everyone is caught off guard at this time. No point intended.

UB Bulls Football

Western New York rise up as your UB Bulls team is 3-0 for the first time in FBS history after they defeated Western Michigan 35-28. Tyree Jackson was 21-26 as he threw for 325 yards and 3 scores. K.J Osborn had a monster game as he caught 7 passes for 188 yards and all the 3 scores belonged to him. The Bulls will look to continue to show the Bills how to win games as they play Rutgers on Saturday. The Bulls are on top of the Mid Atlantic Conference.

In Boxing News Canelo Alverez defeated Gennady Golovkin by a narrow decision to become the new middleweight champion of the world. Many people are hinting at a trilogy to this great boxing rivalry. There are many reports that Floyd Mayweather may fight Manny Pacquiao again this year. Which do you think is the better rivalry of the two?
